The Best New 2023 Lighting Designs

Earlier this month, Progress Lighting introduced more than 250 lighting fixtures at the Lightovation trade show held in Dallas. Here are some of the best new 2023 lighting designs that wowed designers and lighting showroom attendees.

Modern Organic Design

Characterized by uncomplicated aesthetic and sustainable materials, modern organic design introduces warm neutral tones and natural materials that promote harmony between the inside and the outside environment. Our new fixtures incorporate hand-knotted rope for an inspired take on natural textures. livers a delightful interplay of shadows and inviting ambient light to living spaces. Our Chandra Collection is handwoven by artisans into a casual, artful lantern form. Knotted string in an open, airy pattern filters light beautifully to provide relaxed warmth and texture to your décor.

Lustrous Metallic Finishes

Already a favorite fixture, our popular Lowery pendant was introduced this year in a luxurious new distressed antique silver leaf finish against a black frame that raises the bar on contemporary design. Designers love silver tones because they stand the test of time while coordinating with other finishes throughout the home. Lowery features layered rectangular shields coated in a matte black iron finish which are artistically combined with lustrous antique silver leaf panels. Light sources inside the structure cast a shimmering reflective light that highlights the beautiful contrast between light and dark.

Contemporary Rustic Design

Earthy elements of the rustic style are combined with a clean-lined modern design for a fresh, light, and grounded aesthetic. The Burgess Collection brings authenticity and honesty to contemporary settings with a geometric metal surround enclosing seeded glass diffusers to deliver warm illumination to any room. This fixture is part of the Progress Lighting Design Series, a collection offering fashionable styles and affordable luxury lighting for the home.

Cage-Style Ceiling Fans

Uniquely designed, cage-style fans enclose the blades within a frame, offering a stylish, practical look. Our just-launched Bastrop ceiling fan provides a rustic industrial style from its wood tone and metal cage frame construction. Curved fan blades finished in grey weathered wood, aged oak or rustic charcoal feature an interesting bend that heightens the fan's vintage aesthetic. A damp location rating makes Bastrop ideal for both indoor and covered outdoor use.

Mid-Century Modern Style

Mid-Century Modern style, emphasizing pared-down forms, organic shapes, and simple fabrications, continues to be a beloved look. The debut of the Copeland Collection, with its geometric opal glass shade created from a softened diamond silhouette, brings elegant illumination to bathrooms in mid-century modern and contemporary settings. Plus, it can be mounted with the glass facing up or down for more versatility.
