Looking For Design Inspiration?

Now more than ever, we're all looking for design inspiration to make our homes a haven. We're happy to oblige with a brand-new issue of our magazine, Experience Progress, created especially for everyone who's dreaming of a perfectly decorated space. It's available right now online, or look for it on newsstands, polybagged with the 2020 issue of Lighting magazine, published in collaboration with Better Homes & Gardens and the American Lighting Association.

We've filled Experience Progress (or EP, as we fondly call it) with home decor inspiration, interior design trends, lighting tips, and how-to advice from Progress Lighting partners and industry experts.

In this issue, we're spotlighting the work of interior designer Jeffrey Alan Marks, who is the talent behind our beloved and well-received Point Dume™ lighting collection. Bringing a new collection to market takes a lot of time and effort: over the past year or more, Point Dume™ was designed, produced, marketed, and finally shipped to our customers, who then gave these beautiful lighting fixtures a place of honor in their homes. We can't wait to show you some of the beautiful results in our article, Point Dume™ in Place, highlighting where Jeffrey's designs have made their way into the world.

Designer Jayme Fridley of Fridley Custom Homes tells us why the heart of the home is the kitchen, along her tried-and-true tips to make a house, a home. And just in time for summer fun, Amie Freling-Brown of Meme Hill Studio shows us how to create a dream backyard bunkhouse from an ordinary garden shed. Plus, we've interviewed lifestyle blogger Merrick White about her approach to art, design, and how she became a successful brand ambassador and online influencer.

Naturally, we have tons of lighting guidance for you, too! If you've ever wondered how lighting designers get their ideas, product designer Dan McGinty tells all in our story behind the design of our new and popular Medal pendant. (Hint, inspiration can come from anywhere...even a childhood toy.) We've also sprinkled in some need-to-know lighting tips on how to select the right color temperature, lumens and volts the next time you're shopping for LED light bulbs. And, of course, we show off many of our new lighting fixtures from our 2020 collection, plus ways to use lighting that you've probably never considered.

Enjoy this issue of Experience Progress. Whether you download it, read it online, or pick up a print copy at newsstands across the country, we hope it gives you as much pleasure to read as it did for us to create it.
