Guest Blogger - Patricia Duffner of Patricia Duffner Interiors Lighting can change the appearance of a space, inside as well as out. The traditional design rule "form follows function" is always top of mind, as well as curb appeal and safety, when I think of exterior lighting. I'm excited to show what a difference one weekend can make. When we first bought this house the entrance was something I knew I needed to change. The door color was all wrong, the light fixtures where extremely dated, as well as the hardware - plus the steps needed a good washing. Keeping in mind the scale of the home, I wanted to replace the current lighting package with something that had more of a modern charm. When I selected the Whitacre collection, I didn't know the difference they would provide. Let me tell you, the glow from these lights are stunning. All I can say is WOW! The antique bronze finish with the clear seeded glass is a combination I was looking for. I cannot be any happier with my final decision. If you walk up to your entrance and wish it looked and felt more inviting, trust me, updating your door with a fresh coat of paint, adding new light fixtures along with giving it a good scrub - your house will shine just like mine. Now our entrance is ready to welcome our guests.
