Flush metallic floorboxes that make the trim out stage easier in concrete installations offer convenience and savings. The updated floorbox line from Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems simplify the ordering as well as installation processes.

Hubbell’s new floorboxes ship with standardized hub sizes and knockouts, which simplifies the ordering process. Reducing the number of SKUs to 17 improves inventory management, helping to improve delivery times for customers.

The boxes now ship without aluminum or brass cover flanges. Since floorboxes can be installed in open jobsites for extended periods of time, they are susceptible to damage and require replacing at trim out. The finish of the final covers also often changes between the original quote and trim out. Reducing changes simplifies the overall installation process, time, and cost.

The deeper flush floorboxes includes adjustable tops to fine tune installations. Rectangular floorboxes include an adjusting screw at each corner, while round floorboxes have three adjusting screws. Each floorbox ships with a disposable spacer.

Around the bottom of each box, new combination head external leveling screws help make installation easier. The flat flanges offer the same footprint at the old style but with a lower profile. Cast iron models now feature green epoxy paint that matches Hubbell painted recessed concrete floorboxes.

The refreshed line accepts the same the same covers as well as cover and carpet flanges. With the new box designs, the load ratings for the covers are also updated. Metallic covers and flanges support up to 2,000 lbs, while non-metallic covers and flanges support up to 300 lbs.

New tamper-resistant brass and aluminum covers offer T40 Torx screwdriver slots for security.

The new flush floorbox line and covers provide installation efficiency and user convenience in a variety of commercial applications.
