TX6363, TX6373 and TX6383 Mixing ANZEx and AUSEx Certificates Advisory

Discover essential advisory information on TX6363, TX6373, and TX6383 mixing ANZEx and AUSEx certificates. Ensure compliance and safety with Austdac's guidance.

This advisory is applicable to the Trolex Gas Detector, TX6363, TX6373 and TX6383, distributed by Austdac Pty Ltd.

The following Trolex Gas Detectors have been sold with the following certificates of conformities :

Gas Detector AUSEx ANZEx
TX6363 AUS Ex 03.3879X ANZEx 12.3015X
TX6373 AUS Ex 02.3862X ANZEx 12.3016X
TX6383 AUS Ex 02.3842X ANZEx 12.3021X

Note: All new units sold are under the ANZEx scheme.

The TX6363, TX6373 or TX6383 are sold as a transmitter with sensor head. The transmitter and the sensor head certificates matched each other when the Gas Detector was originally supplied.

Austdac has found a number of customers have been mixing the transmitter and the sensor head which can lead to a mismatch in the certificates.

While it is understood that these parts with different certificates could be interchanged and still function even with different certificates, Austdac has queried this with the NSW and Queensland Mines Inspectorate who both state that the certificates must match on the equipment.

Austdac is therefore obliged to correct this by matching up the certificates.

If you have any questions regarding this please contact either Mark Go1dsworthy or Peter Chen or contact our Austdac Customer Service.
