Trends for Pantone's New Color of the Year

The Pantone Color Institute recently announced the 2019 Color of the Year, Living Coral! They described the winner as "an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge." A color of optimism and connection was a more surprising but welcome choice. Here are few ways you will see this hue come to life:

• Shades of coral have always been a favorite of cosmetics and fashion, so look for much more on the runways this year.
• With an obvious connection to the ocean and warm sunsets, watch for more use in coastal designed spaces.
