Direct From Dallas: 2020 New Lighting Round-Up

Progress started the new year off right at Lightovation, the largest residential lighting trade event in North America. As always, we refreshed the Progress Lighting showroom with fabulous new displays depicting the latest lifestyle trends, design tips, and, of course, our 2020 lighting fixtures! This year we debuted more than 600 fixtures throughout 91 collections across fourteen unique lifestyle trends. Here's a ort list of what our customers raved about as they shopped our showroom at the Dallas Market Center earlier this month. We predict you'll soon be seeing these styles and more at lighting showrooms and online retailers across North America!

The Medal Pendant A design team favorite, the Medal pendant features an oversized silhouette and a new finish color, Coastal Blue. Details like a stamped star motif on its top cover and double prismatic glass reminiscent of a car headlight are a nod to its vintage automobile inspiration.

Latrobe Pendants Clear glass shades are trending, and the Latrobe collection pairs bottle-inspired glass shades hung at varying heights with a linear canopy to add an unexpected twist to the straightforward, understated industrial style of this dining room vignette.

Torres Island Light Black framed lighting is having a moment, and Torres is beautifully on-trend with its black, hammered edges crisscrossing in open-cage design, offering an organic interpretation of a geometric tic-tac-toe pattern.

Bonn Pendants The industrial style is trending towards a more refined and sophisticated look, and these Bonn pendants are the perfect match. Smooth metal bars in a beautiful matte black finish curve to form a simplified, open-cage frame. In a startling reversal of tradition, the sleek light bases flow down in varying lengths from the top of the fixture, making an ideal downlight, rather than casting light up from the bottom of the frame.

Bowman Chandelier For the traditionalist at heart, Bowman chandeliers feature classically curved arms in an overscale design. Bowman's clear chiseled glass shades give an updated flair to this sophisticated fixture.

Durrell Pendant Versatile, go-anywhere lighting fixtures fill the needs of many design styles, and Durrell is a shining example. This Durrell pendant has an elongated, airy, and open circular black frame enclosing a graceful wooden column with a ceruse black finish for a bold, substantial look.

Mauldin Pendants Mauldin is a charming interpretation of the new geometric trend of combining several shapes within one fixture. Triangles and squares add up to a symmetrical octagon frame finished with a vintage touch of seeded glass panes.

Equinox in a New Finish Satin Brass. One of our all-time favorites, the Equinox orb pendant is simply stunning in our new finish, a gorgeous golden Satin Brass. Soft gold finishes are a hot trend for lighting, plumbing, and cabinet hardware, and Equinox is just one of the many new and existing Progress Lighting fixtures that are re-interpreted in this warm and mellow finish for 2020.
