CSE SR50 and SR100A Self Rescuers Advisory Follow Up

Written by Austdac | Sep 6, 2017 1:30:00 AM

During 2016 and 2017 Austdac inspected SR50 and SR100A manufactured in 2011 and earlier as part of an Austdac advisory dated the 26th of April 2016. As a result of this inspection a total of 4735 self rescuers were inspected and all serviceable units were returned to service.

Additional infomation on the handling and inspection of the self rescuers was also provided to the industry.

As a follow up Austdac is carrying out a free of charge inspection on belt worn self rescuer units manufactured from 2012 to 2015.

The purpose of the inspection is to ensure correct care and daily inspections are being carried out.

For this exercise Austdac would like to inspect a 5% batch quantity spread across the entire industry. Austdac will contact customers individually to arrange for a suitable quantity and appropriate time where their self rescuers can be returned to Austdac for this free of charge inspection. If a self rescuer is found to be unserviceable these would not be returned to the customer and a replacement unit would need to be purchased if required.

This is a voluntary program however given the intended purpose of the equipment Austdac highly recommend your participation in the program.

It you have any questions regarding this please contact either Mark Go1dsworthy or Peter Chen or contact our Austdac Customer Service.
